Black Girl In Berlin
Black Girl in Berlin is a 5-episode YouTube series that follows the journey of filmmaker and DJ, Folâsé (Fola—ah—SHAY). As a newcomer to the DJ scene, the Chicago native dives into Berlin's vibrant music and art world, embracing the opportunities and challenges of life as an expat in a new city. As an African American woman, Folâsé is excited to connect with Berlin's diverse African diasporic community, as well as Afro-Germans. However, her journey through the city and its people quickly highlights the contrasts of being a Black woman in a predominantly white European metropolis.
